Ten teen residents of Northview Heights participated in Sharing Our Story’s workshops held at City of Asylum in February, 2019. Their stories focused on events that helped to build their personal identity.
For the public discussion event at YouthPlaces and Carnegie Library Allegheny, Sharing Our Story partnered with Pittsburgh Playback Theater and KRUNK Movement.
For the public discussion event at the Northview Heights Family Support Center, Sharing Our Story partnered with Pittsburgh Playback Theater and Sankofa Village for the Arts.
Changing Communities: Then and Now brought together residents of Beechview, a diverse Pittsburgh neighborhood, newly immigrated and those whose ancestors previously immigrated, to create digital stories depicting their immigration experiences.
